This section of our website is dedicated to the memory of our young children who were victims of, and those who lost their lives due to vicious canine (dog) attacks.
Children are bitten by dogs more often than adults. The reason for that is children have no fear of dogs. This means every dog is cute, every dog is approachable and every dog is nice when it comes to the way children think. There are nice dogs of course that love to play with children; and then there are dogs that while nice and well behaved, they have not been around children and have a fear of them.
When the situation is this type of dog, there is a good chance that the child could be bitten. Children are bitten in the face more often, and can also be subject to sustaining injuries such as head trauma, puncture wounds and even broken bones. Please keep in mind also, that no matter how "small" a dog is - when they bite out of fear, even the smallest dog is able to puncture the skin and cause pain.
