About The Project
We are here at One Voice / One Sound, to remember our African-American Children, all of whom help to make up a Nation that rises like a breeze out of our communities, but continue to be scattered like petals in the wind, due to an unconquered wilderness:
CHILD ABUSE
This Epidemic draws from a population that fights against a much larger and more modern force or forces – forces that will actually observe, witness, and become overall educated about, but will ignore to this day, actions taken towards an innocent child. This type of action is what gives every ounce of courage to people like us, to continue to fight and get justification for those children victimized.
Most of our Children have paid for their silence with their lives. It is now up to us to ensure that this ever changing nation remembers what our Children faced than and still face, the unfathomable conditions under which they were believed that they would be cared for, as only they could understand it.
If nothing else, there is at least one lesson that we as a people must take from having Responsibility: And it is that our people should carry next to their breasts, and contemplate corrective action, each and every time they face anything - however small, which puts our children at risk. It should echo in their consciences from the power of thousands of small graves and headstones in the cemeteries across the Globe.
A child’s' Safety should be held in sacred trust.
When a child is placed in your care, you have to follow your judgment, and defend the interests you define as worthy of their blood. That power that you have over that child should not be abused through carelessness, illegal intentions, or poor Guardianship.
We the People, who live in the future where there are African-American children, are among the beneficiaries of those frightful decisions to harm a child made by Predators, Molesters and more so long ago, and at present. As such, we are also the caretakers of the reputation of those who are supposed to perform a duty, when they fail ...
Since September 2004, One Voice / One Sound has led the way in building Child Abuse Awareness by maximizing the "Online" exposure of Child Abuse Cases, and providing the education / information needed in the detection and prevention of Child Abuse, while inspiring hope in everyone involved in the effort to stop the abuse and neglect of our nations' children.
Working with the bare essentials, we provide leadership to promote and implement Child Abuse Prevention efforts at both the National and Local levels. With the help of our website visitors, children are being valued, families are being strengthened and communities are engaging world wide.
We are an original, positive information-only website that strives to teach the Detection and Prevention of Child Abuse, by communicating in the stream of the Metropolitan Area. We simply cannot stand injustice in any form ... especially towards our African-American Children.
Children make good targets for Predators, Molesters, Abusers, Kidnappers etc., because they are so innocent and have no power to fight back. On the same note, too many people "misunderstand" the purpose of Child Abuse Prevention.
Many children are dying. Responsibility for these cases of Child Abuse, Child Neglect and Deaths belongs to all of us. This is a matter of conscience - and here at One Voice / One Sound, we cannot and will not close our eyes in the face of this Epidemic, fully knowing what is happening to Children everywhere and knowing it will continue to happen.
We want to give our forgotten African-American Children something they need - a voice. We have been and will continue to be their voice.
